Bengaluru’s CloudSEK Raises $10M from US State Fund, First Indian Cybersecurity Firm to Achieve This Milestone
Bengaluru, India – CloudSEK, a leading Bengaluru-based cybersecurity company, has raised $10 million (around ₹90 crore) from Connecticut Innovations, the strategic venture capital arm of the US State of Connecticut. This historic investment makes CloudSEK the first Indian-origin cybersecurity firm to secure funding from a US state-backed venture fund.
This funding forms part of CloudSEK’s Series B round, following its earlier $19 million Series B1 funding. The Series B2 tranche comprises a mix of primary and secondary capital, bringing the company’s total fundraising to approximately $39 million to date. CloudSEK is now valued at nearly $200 million.
CloudSEK CEO Rahul Sasi said the investment marks a major milestone for both the company and the broader Indian cybersecurity ecosystem.
"We have raised $10 million from Connecticut Innovations. Becoming the first Indian-origin cybersecurity company to receive backing from a US state fund is a proud achievement for CloudSEK and the Indian cybersecurity sector," Sasi said.
The funds will be used to expand CloudSEK’s presence in the US and create high-paying jobs. The company currently has a five-member team in the US, which will grow to 15 by March and around 20 within the next 12–18 months. CloudSEK serves 20 clients in the US and aims to increase this number to 200 within a year.
