Nikhil Kamath's WTF show features Elon Musk's top five moments: "Evil" AI, investments, and a special thanks to Indians in the United States

On Nikhil Kamath's WTF Podcast, Elon Musk engaged in a lengthy discussion. These are the interview's top five moments.

On his well-known WTF Podcast, billionaire Elon Musk engaged Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath in a nearly two-hour-long discussion about "work, consciousness, family, money, AI and how the future might unfold."

The top five moments from Musk's interview are as follows:
The video, "Elon Musk: A Different Conversation w/ Nikhil Kamath," was uploaded to Nikhil Kamath's official YouTube channel yesterday night. As of right now, it has had over 2,205,225 views, over 1,08,000 likes, and nearly 10,000 comments.

Making choices about investments? This is what Elon Musk suggests.
When asked about his investment philosophy, the richest man in the world suggested researching the goods or services that a business provides and considering whether or not that is something you believe in. Do you enjoy that company's goods or services? Is the product roadmap appealing to you? Do they appear to produce excellent items and are they likely to continue producing excellent products in the future? Elon Musk stated, "If that's the case, I would say that's probably a good company to invest in."

Artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and space flight firms constitute "overwhelmingly all the value," according to Elon Musk, when it comes to stocks other than his own that he thinks are worthy investments.

He made it clear that he "just builds things" and does not invest, yet he expressed optimism in Google and Nvidia. "Robotics and artificial intelligence will be crucial. Google has set the stage for enormous value creation from an AI perspective, thus it will be very valuable in the future. And at this moment, Nvidia is evident," he continued.

What does Elon Musk think will happen in the future?
Elon Musk's major prediction is that robotics and artificial intelligence will make humans "post-work" in the next ten to twenty years. What does this signify? He believes that human labor will not be necessary for survival in the future.

"I believe that working will become optional in the future. Twenty years from now, somebody might play this back and claim it was incorrect, but I believe it will be right. AI and robotics advancements will make working optional in fewer than 20 years, perhaps as soon as 10 or 15. It's okay if some individuals find it enjoyable. But it's optional—that's how I envision the future of employment," he believes.

Elon Musk's three-pronged strategy to stop "evil" AI is truth, beauty, and curiosity.

Elon Musk was also questioned by Nikhil Kamath on his pessimistic outlook on artificial intelligence and his concerns about the technology's potential future. The richest guy in the world responded to this with pragmatism, saying, "There is some danger when you create powerful technology that it can be potentially destructive." AI dystopian books, movies, and novels abound. Therefore, it's not a given that AI will lead to a bright future.

Pursuing truth, appreciating beauty, and being curious "are the three most important things for AI," he continued, in order to prevent AI from absorbing propaganda that leads to reasoning that is incompatible with reality and in order for AI to support humanity and work toward its prosperity and continuation.

"Talented Indians have greatly benefited America," feels Musk, Elon
For many years, the US attracted "really smart people," including many professionals of Indian descent, according to Kamath. "America has benefitted immensely from talented Indians that have come to America," Elon Musk said, expressing strong agreement.

"America has been [an] immense beneficiary of talent from India," Musk reiterated in response to Kamath's observation that this pattern "seems to be changing now."

Additionally, he made the decision to reject right-wing politics, which maintain that immigrants steal employment from Americans: "My direct observation is that there is always a lack of brilliant individuals... More gifted individuals would be beneficial. However, he emphasized that businesses occasionally choose less expensive foreign labor, which fuels public discontent.

Despite being pro-immigration, he nevertheless believes that there are problems with the system, noting alleged abuse of the H-1B program. "A few outsourced firms have manipulated the system in some way. I do not believe that the H-1B program should be discontinued. In actuality, that would be terrible. We pay more than average. "We are merely seeking the world's most gifted individuals," he stated.

Elon Musk advises aspiring business owners to "pursue contribution to society, not money."
When asked to give advice to young Indian entrepreneurs who wish to start their own businesses, Elon Musk was unambiguous: "Be a net contributor to society."

"Offering practical goods and services is the best course of action. Instead of pursuing money directly, if you do that, money will naturally follow. It may seem apparent, but if someone is trying to make a business succeed, they need be prepared to work extremely hard, acknowledge that there is a significant chance of failure, and concentrate on making the output more valuable than the input. What matters most is that you are a value creator. "Making more than you take," he concluded.
