What specifically happened?
Air India's Delhi-Mumbai flight AI887 returned to the nation's capital after an engine problem was discovered, according to sources who spoke to news agency PTI.
According to a source at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the aircraft made an air turn around when the flight crew noticed low engine oil pressure on the right-hand engine during flap retraction following takeoff.
According to the source, the check is underway after the engine oil pressure fell to zero.
The insider added that an examination of earlier records shows no anomalies in oil use.
The airline claims that alternate plans have been made to transport the passengers to their destination and that the aircraft is undergoing the required inspections.
