According to the CEO of Cognizant, a significant portion of work involves addressing problems, and departments have been established to focus on problem solvers.
While STEM subjects were at the heart of the organization, these departments were primarily classified as non-STEM.
"Now, if you use machines to help with problem solving, you would find an equal distribution of problem solvers and problem finders in an organization, which means the mix of people on the core is going non-STEM disciplines like anthropologists, sociologists, psychologists, and journalists; people who can be more purposeful problem finders," he stated.
