Shooting Reported Outside Rohit Shetty’s Mumbai Home; Police Launch Investigation
A shooting incident was reported outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai during the early hours of Sunday. According to reports, four bullets were fired near his home in the Juhu area. No injuries have been reported so far.
As per news agency ANI, Mumbai Police swiftly cordoned off the area and launched an investigation. Police and forensic teams reached the spot soon after the incident to examine the surroundings and collect evidence.
Paparazzo Viral Bhayani stated that multiple gunshots were heard outside the director’s residence. Videos circulating on social media showed investigators inside the premises, while barricades were placed outside the building. However, traffic movement in the area has not been disrupted.
Officials said that all possible angles are being investigated. No suspects have been identified yet, and the motive behind the firing remains unclear. An official statement from Mumbai Police is awaited.
Rohit Shetty and his family have not issued any comment on the incident so far.

Rising Concerns Over Security
The incident comes amid heightened security concerns for Bollywood personalities. In August 2025, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had issued threats linked to individuals associated with actor Salman Khan. The warning followed an attack on comedian Kapil Sharma’s café in Canada.
While no connection has been established between the earlier threats and Sunday’s incident, authorities are examining all leads.
