IRCTC services may be impacted because some social media users have criticized the government-run platform's Tatkal-booking feature.
Internet users criticized the Tatkal booking service offered by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on Tuesday, claiming that they consistently receive a "Error" message when using the platform's app or website. This could have an impact on IRCTC services.
One user commented, "This service should be stopped if IRCTC Tatkal booking is made for brokers. False promises should not be shown." This scenario occurs every time we purchase Tatkal tickets.
"I encounter this problem each time I attempt to purchase a Tatkal ticket. repeatedly encountering the same error. Another person questioned, "What is wrong with IRCTC?"
Following Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's declaration on December 4 that the IRCTC website was operational 99.98% of the time between April and October 2025, there has been a surge in criticism.
Reports of IRCTC being down have not yet significantly increased. As of right moment, Downdetector reports about 56 outages. 31% of the reports mention the app, whilst 68% of the reports were about issues with the website.
