In a widely shared video, former US Vice President Al Gore disparages Donald Trump, calling him a "threat... who seeks power at all costs."
Al Gore, an environmentalist and former US vice president, has harshly denounced Donald Trump as a "threat" that the nation's founders meant the Constitution to guard against.

As of this writing, a video featuring former US Vice President and environmentalist Al Gore criticizing US President Donald Trump has had over 2.77 lakh views on social media.

In the widely shared video, Al Gore described Donald Trump as a "threat" that the nation's founders wanted the Constitution to guard against, adding that the US president is a power-hungry individual.

What remarks did Al Gore make on Donald Trump?
"Our founders wrote our constitution to protect us from a threat like Donald Trump, who will stop at nothing to gain more power!" Al Gore remarked.

"I am fully aware of the reasons why comparing Adolf Hitler's Third Reich to any other movement is incorrect. It was very wicked. Completely stop. I understand. However, there are significant lessons to be learned from that emergent evil's past. And this one, in my opinion, is crucial," he continued.

Al Gore likens the Trump administration to Nazi Germany.
Al Gore went on to say that he observed parallels between the actions of Nazi Germany and the Trump administration. He believes that the lessons learned from a group of philosophers who fled Hitler's rule and returned after World War II to "perform a kind of moral autopsy on the Third Reich" serve as an illustration of this.

Jürgen Habermas was the most well-known member of the so-called Frankfurt School of philosophy. He explained that the Nazis "attacked the very heart of the distinction Between true and false." The Trump administration is adamant about attempting to construct their desired reality. They claim that Russia was attacked by Ukraine, and they expect us to believe them.

Why is this video becoming so popular?
In April 2025, Al Gore, who was awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his work on climate change, gave a speech at SF Climate Week at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.

Notably, Donald Trump has also applied for the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming to have "stopped" numerous conflicts worldwide. Theodore Roosevelt in 1906, Woodrow Wilson in 1919, and Barack Obama in 2009 are the three US presidents who have received the Nobel Peace Prize thus far. Twenty years after his presidency ended, Jimmy Carter earned the award in 2002, and Al Gore did the same in 2007.

The remarks initially followed Donald Trump's "drill baby, drill!" call for oil drilling, but they have now acquired popularity once more in light of the US Justice Department's controversial Jeffrey Epstein files and claims of a Trump administration cover-up.

The Trump administration has faced harsh criticism for merely publishing a portion of the so-called "Epstein Files," with a large portion of the documents and information redacted. The authorities' need to safeguard Epstein's victims and their thorough examination of the files were cited as the reasons for the dark areas.

However, with the publication of up to 16 papers on December 18, claims of a high-level cover-up by the Trump administration have persisted.
