Due to bad weather, Indira Gandhi International Airport reported several aircraft cancellations and traveler cautions.
Due to heavy fog and poor visibility throughout Delhi, flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) were interrupted on Tuesday morning. Early in the morning, airport officials issued a number of passenger alerts.
Consequently, the Delhi airport had to cancel six inbound and four outgoing flights for the day.
Delhi Airport issued a travel caution during the dense fog warning, stating that "flight operations are currently being conducted under CAT III conditions due to dense fog, which may result in delays and cancellations."
To ensure a seamless journey, our ground workers are actively helping passengers. Please get in touch with your respective carriers for the most recent flight information, it continued.

"Pragyaraj, Ayodhya & Pantnagar continue to remain wrapped in chilly winter air and lingering fog this morning," IndiGo wrote in a post on X. Flight schedules have been adjusted due to the varying visibility, and if conditions change, operations may be slower than usual. Safety and adherence to visibility regulations are our teams' top priorities on the ground.
The largest airport in the nation, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), is run by DIAL and typically handles 1,300 aircraft each day.
Slower flight movements are caused by the fog that still hangs over Ranchi, Patna, Hindon, Jammu, and Varanasi. As we work through the weather, there may be brief delays for departures and arrivals to and from these locations as well as several routes throughout our network, IndiGo noted in another post.
This is what IMD stated.
Monday's minimum temperatures were somewhat above average, although the majority of northern India saw extremely chilly weather. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted dense to extremely dense fog in northern states until December 27. The fog also temporarily hampered visibility in Delhi and affected portions of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
Delhi's temperatures are predicted to stay close to normal on Christmas Day, December 25, with mostly clear skies and light fog in the morning.
Even if minimum temperatures in a number of places remained a few degrees above seasonal averages, Punjab and Haryana were still feeling the effects of the cold weather on Monday.
