Due to pollution, will schools in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad be closed on Tuesday, December 16? What advisories state

The AQI has been at high levels for the last three days, indicating that Delhi-NCR is experiencing severe air pollution. GRAP-IV measures are in place because things are getting worse. Verify whether schools will be closed on Tuesday, December 16.

For the third day in a row, the national capital's air quality was bad on Monday, with heavy pollution covering portions of Delhi-NCR.

Due to the increasing pollution, offices have been instructed to operate at 50% capacity and GRAP-IV safeguards have been put in place.

Meanwhile, schools are not entirely closed.

Here is a thorough analysis of Delhi, Noida, and Greater Noida's school closures and openings.

Delhi: The Directorate of Education in Delhi released a circular urging all government-run, government-aided, and accredited private schools to begin teaching students up to Class IX and Class XI in a "hybrid" format that offers both in-person and online learning opportunities.

It is understood that courses X and XII would proceed as usual.

"The option to exercise the online mode of education, wherever available, shall vest with the students and their guardians," the notice stated.

Additionally, all outside events—including athletics, gatherings, and physical exercises—are prohibited.

Greater Noida and Noida
The Office of the District Inspector of Schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar issued an order mandating that classes Pre-Nursery to V be conducted virtually.

Students in Classes VI through IX and XI will participate in hybrid sessions, where both online and in-person instruction are offered when practical.

Noida and Greater Noida are covered by the order.

The Ghaziabad
The Gautam Buddh Nagar authorities' directive was also issued by the Ghaziabad Office of the District Inspector of Schools.
